GROUP PROJECT — HEIG-VD - PDG 2026
MYGM is an NES-style retro console designed by four students: a custom controller, a case built around a Raspberry Pi 5, a homemade game interface, and a server for multiplayer and hosting this page and more.
> WHY A CONSOLE
We love retro gaming, but playing it through an emulator on a laptop never felt right. MYGM exists because we wanted a closer experience — a physical console with real buttons and a real screen, not a window on a desktop.
It's also why we built every piece ourselves: the controller, the console, the interface, the server. We didn't want to just play retro games — we wanted to learn how to build one.
